A protective pant is only useful if the fit works. The JB's Wear 6MFRP-S carries the same inherent FR fabric, cargo storage and segmented biomotion tape as the regular 6MFRP, but in a dedicated stout-waist range for people who need more room through the waist without simply moving into a longer leg.
That difference matters for electrical contractors, utilities crews and industrial maintenance teams issuing PPE across different body shapes. Instead of sizing up a regular pant and accepting extra length, uniform buyers can keep the crew in the same protective pant family, choose the proportion that suits the wearer, and reorder the same fit when a pair is due for replacement.
These pants are usually the protective foundation of the uniform rather than the best place for a large logo. Where practical, keep the main branding on an approved upper garment. If identification on the pant is required, PlusEmbroidery can assess a small placement, but the thread, backing and location must suit the inherent FR fabric and remain clear of the reflective tape and working pockets.
The 220gsm twill ripstop combines Lenzing cellulosic fibre, modacrylic, aramid and anti-static fibres. Two flap-covered cargo pockets provide tool and personal storage, with a pen insert on the left leg, while two covered hip pockets keep the rear layout practical. Segmented FR reflective tape runs around the knee and ankle areas to create the biomotion pattern.
JB's Wear lists the 6MFRP as compliant with AS 4399:2020 for UPF protection and AS 4602.1:2024 N-E Level 3 when worn with a Level 3 torso garment. The supplier also lists testing to ISO EN 11612:2015 A1, A2, B1 and C1, certification to EN 1149-3:2018, IEC 61482-1-1:2018 arc testing at 13 cal/cm² PPE 2, and UL certification to the 2112 standard. Treat it as part of a complete protective-clothing system and confirm the full ensemble against the hazards and requirements of the workplace.
It comes in Navy, with stout-waist sizing from 87S to 132S.
Fitting the same crew across different builds? The JB's Wear 6MFRP regular-waist pant covers the corresponding regular fit. For another short/stout FR taped cargo option, compare the DNC 3474-S taped cargo pant, or look at the DNC 3471-S basic taped pant when a simpler pocket layout is preferred. The standards and construction differ between ranges, so select each garment against the site's actual risk assessment.
